I would like to make this the trip of a life time and of course not cost alot of money. I fell in Love with Ireland in 5th grade when I had to do a report on it and I am still in awe with it, at the age of 59..

I really like western Ireland — counties Galway, Clare and Donegal. They have some of the gaeltaecht (Irish-speaking) areas and some of the pubs with the best traditional music. Doolen is famous for its music. There’s also the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren, Connemara, Galway Bay and city (which I like more than Dublin) and all sorts of other fascinating villages and places to see. You can fly into Shannon which is closer.
Further south, co. Kerry is nice but a bit more touristy.
here’s a website for co. Clare
co. Donegal
co. Galway
Bandon in Cork. It is beautiful and cheap.
