Scared out of my mind on my way to Egypt!

My name is James, and it’s been quite a while since I had been on a plane. More than 10 years ago was the last time I fainted when flying. Now I didn’t feel as though I had a fear of flying, I have never really been scared about the prospect of flying, I just passed out. Going back on to a plane was very low on my priority list, and decided to stay at home for holidays in future, may sound sad, but obviously it wasn’t in the house. About 2 years into my marriage, it was time to face my fears and get on a plane, all that way to Egypt, a massive mission!

Just remembering how little I did actually remember of flying was scary enough… When i came back from my previous holiday I passed out on my way back as well, so I haven’t actually experienced flying yet! So there was the plane, choices had to be made, and the choice to turn around and run wasn’t there. So I sat down, and nothing seemed to happen, my heart wasn’t racing and everything seemed fine, I could see straight as well. Even after the four massive engines under the wings started going and we approached the run way i was fine!

This was all strange, I couldn’t understand why I passed out the previous time, and before I knew it, we were in the air. I had finally reached that stage where I could start to be excited about my holiday. I was eager to get back on the plane and get flying again. Everything just couldn’t stay going all smooth could it! The Captain in a loud but confident voice, boomed that we were going to be hitting some turbulence. Things got really bad, the plane felt as though it was going to crack up in the sky, and there was even a light storm brewing outside. Then It was over, as quick as it had started it had finished. I remember thinking to myself, why don’t you faint now you plonker!

Egypt holidays Didn’t actually appeal to me that much, and i never went back, next up was a decision between Maldives holidays or Sri Lanka holidays, both involve a aeroplane!
