It depends on the kind of lodgings you prefer, the kind of restaurant and the amount of shopping.
You can stay in Amsterdam for about £30 per night if you book early enough, you will get a hostel bed outside the old city for that, or if you are lucky, something nearer to the action.
But you can spend £300 as well, if you prefer luxurious hotels.
Food, from £25 for the day real basic, £50 more likely, but if can go up to £200 if you select your restaurants from the famous ones. (Or above if you have some wine with the dinner.)
Shopping is about the same as in England, can be cheaper but also more expensive.
The big museums are around the £10 mark, beer £2 for a glass, about £4 for a pint, but again, more expensive is easy to find.
On average, young people can get by with £75 per day if they are a little careful, but stagnight behavior will set you back £150 or so, while popstars can easily spend (or have others spend on their behalve) £500 to £1000.
You can do your own multipying for the type of person you are.
