I think your parents will love North Cyprus - I did! Look at holidays based around Kyrenia, which has a really great harbour with lots of good restaurants, nice beaches nearby, and oodles of old-world charm. Friends of my parents recommended the Dome hotel which has good service, nice food and friendly staff, they say. It's also right in the old city, so your parents could walk to the harbour if they wanted. North Cyprus also has a fair-sized British expat community, so if they like to chat to people too, they won't have to learn Turkish!! sharm in egypt is geat - check out tripadvisor.co.uk for the best hotels or may be send them to sardinia from thursday to sunday. ryanair do flights for about £80 return to algehro i think the airport is called olbeia. i stayed at hotel punta negra in a small town of fertilia 5 min drive from airport. its a small hotel with a private beach great for relaxing. make sure you get a sea view room as its just amazing.

Can i suggest that you send them to Majorca or Menorce, both are such laid back beautiful Islands and would be ideal if they are perhaps a but nervous about holidaying alone. They have smal easy to navigate airports and you budget is more than ample. Nip into the travel agent and tell them that you have a £600 budget that way they won't try to pressure you into going up to £800 spend.
If they are easy going ask for Palma Nova in Majorca, or Son Bou in Menorca.
