The idea of sport is to provide a spectacle of ability and skill. If one team are better than the other, they usually win. South Africa were much better than England so they won, easily.

There was nothing wonderful about that match and even anti-england watchers have to admit that was hardly a wonderful defeat. South Africa were awesome, England lacked creativity and although it wasn’t a total horror show, never looked like scoring. Rather like Scotland’s usual rugby performances don’t ya think? Oh btw, yeah the football was an exceptional result, Scotland totally neutralised the france attacking threat and fully deserve to qualify now!

I was genuinely happy when Scotland beat France the other day, a fantastic result. The match rugby finished, 20 minutes ago, and you’ve got to come onto Y/A and say how wonderful it is. It sums you up really.
There was never any doubt that they would get beaten tonight.
They will qualify for the knock out stages and be beaten then. Even before the tournament started this was the way it was going to go.

Can I say as a Welsh person – no I did not take any pleasure from this loss. You as a Scottish person would know the pain of defeat as well as Wales. But not to have scored, I never would like to see that for any side. Its sad as many of those players toward the end of careers and this will see them go asp! But think on this LIONS – is all of UK plus Ireland and the players from each side are actually friends (OK not all but there are some). England deserve some respect but it would be not against my beloved Wales though!

Why must you gloat, when did Scotland ever win anything worth note, England won the World Cup in 2003, or have you forgotten that. Perhaps they didn’t play well, but i guarantee no European Team will win this world cup, my prediction would be either The All Blacks, or The Springboks.
