Aux Trois Mailletz at 56 rue Galand in the 5th arr. is my personal favorite.
try getting the metro to place de clichy (line 2).there is plenty of good places around the area such as corcorans irish bar,lush bar,o sullivans,oz cafe or if its culture your after then just pop into any cafe.i recommend that you go to one of the bars i mentioned and get a guide to paris pubs,food,music etc.it called funky paris.good luck and enjoy....
